The Beatles Remastered Box Sets & USB Memory Stick

The Beatles Remastered Stereo Box Set Packaging

It is hard for me to believe that 2009 has definitely been really huge for the classic band OK, and MJ had a big year too With the long awaited release of the remastered versions of their on CD and in mp3 (on USB) many fans dreams have come true this year.

The Beatles Mono Box Set

The box set that has gained the most attention of hardcore fans is the mono box set because it’s the first time in decades that mono mixes have been available to purchase new in any format.

Purist fans believe that these mono mixes are really the way their was originally meant to be heard and they have a good reason for believing that. It was the mono mixes that most people listened to back in the and spent the majority of their time working on getting the mono mixes just right. It really wasn’t until around 1968 that started to take their stereo mixes seriously.

The Beatles in Stereo Box

This box set has been the most popular release of 2009. It’s been an enormous unit shifter and for good reason. It contains their complete discography in high quality digitally remastered stereo. These remastered songs sound absolutely fantastic (these discs are far better than the old discs you probably have at the moment.)

The biggest improvements compared to the old discs are heard in the way Paul’s bass guitar blasts through the mix more so than ever before and Ringo’s drums sound much better too. Another big positive is being able to hear each individual vocal part with more clearity.

The Beatles Remastered USB

This USB is a digital version of the stereo box set. It includes both 320kbps mp3s and 24bit FLAC files. Along with the obvious audio component, this USB memory stick also contains the visual elements from the stereo box set such as the 13 album documentaries, the extensive liner notes for each album, and the previously unpublished photos.

The USB memory stick is compatible with both Mac and PC computers. The mp3s should work with no hiccups with any mp3 player (whether you own an iPod, a Zune, or a generic machine.)

The Beatles Rock Band: The Ultimate Party Game

First let me say that I don’t normally enjoy playing video games very much. I just really think they’re a waste of my precious time. But I am very much into and because of that I decided to get a system (I bought a Microsoft Xbox 360) so that I could play . I found that I really enjoyed the drumming and singing aspects of the game due to their realism. When you are drumming on you are hitting real beats that are in the song and when you are singing you really have to sing in tune and on time to get more points. I think this is actually good practice.

But there was a big down side to . The songs included with the game. I’m pretty picky about and to me about 90% of the songs on the games I’ve got are just not very good. Or atleast not songs I want to spend time singing!

The biggest defect of is completely fixed by the newest version of the game due out on 9/9/9: Beatles Rock Band. are not only the most influential and most popular group of all time, they are also my favorite band so to say that I am excited about this new game is an understatement. I think it will be awesome to get to play drums as if I was Ringo and to sing like I am John, Paul, & George. It’ll be a great time.

But there is more to The Beatles Rock Band than the fact that it comes with 45 songs (and you can download entire albums in the future.) There’s also some new features that are unique to the game, most notably the harmony singing feature which allows up to three people to sing at once. This means up to six people can play the game at one time in all. This makes it a really good game for a party.

For enormous fans like me, September 9th is not just only - it’s also about The Beatles Mono CD Box Set which puts UK albums in their original mono mixes on CD for the first time
