It is one of the biggest hobbies around the world.But what people do not realize is that they are just a practice away from being a professional.Which means that the photos they will take can rival those photos taken by a professional. Of course it won’t be as good but it will be pretty darn close. Especially with the help of so many advanced cameras. So let’s look at some tips that will help you take better photos.
First thing that you should learn is using the sunlight to your advantage. As a San Diego wedding photographer this is an important skill tomaster since most weddings are during the day. So how you use the sunlight is make sure it isn’t overhead because it can wash out faces. Also be careful of real bright sunlight because it can cause harsh shadows.
Next tip I can give is you should learn how to use the flash. The secret is knowing how to keep your distance.Because taking the shot far away from the subject would render the flash useless and the photo would turn out dark. Also you want to not get too close because the bright flash will lose some detail. These are things I had to learn the hard way as a San Diego photographer.
Another thing that you must learn is knowing the right positioning of the camera.People do not realize the fact good positioning can determine if the shot would turn out bad or great. The best part with digital cameras is that you can take a lot of photos to see what are good angles. As a San Diego wedding photographer taking great photos is my job.If I weren't able to do it, I would be out of work.So being able to tell what is a good photograph is crucial.In weddings, just like most things in life, by understanding what is going on around you is important.There will be a lot of stuff happening around you, but if you anticipate what will happen next you will be ready.You already know what are the highlight moments in weddings.Just be prepared to get them on film.
Another tip I learned from being a San Diego photographer is understanding human emotion.You can find yourself taking candid shots of people.Or you may find yourself taking some shots at a wedding. It doesn't matter. All that matters is you understand your subjects and the emotions they are going through.If you are able to you can reallly take some nice photographs of emotions.
Finally as a good photographer you have to have good anticipation.
