All Things Memory Related
We're not talking human memory here - though that sort of memory is important too. We are speaking electronic camera memory. Digicam memory is where your image info or pictures are kept in your digital camera.
Most of the newer cameras have limited amounts of internal memory. Nearly all digicams rely on media or memory sticks for storage. A memory card is like re-useable film. Fill it with your photographs, download the photographs, and then fill the card repeatedly. Media cards don’t wear out simply.
To utilize a memory card, insert it into the equivalent slot on your camera. When you snap, the camera saves the image data to the memory card. When your memory card is full, it must be emptied or downloaded to your PC’s hard drive. There are a few strategies to do that. One way is to insert the card into the correspondent slot on the PC. Software does the rest. Another way is to connect the camera to the PC using USB or Firewire technology. The latest system is wireless or Wi-Fi technology-no removing the card from the camera or hooking up wires. At that point in time, only the most recent camera models use Wi-Fi.
There are several kinds of memory card on the market. Your camera will determine which type you must use. Compact Flash, SmartMedia, SecureDigital, Multi media, Memory Stick and xD Picture cards are the most typical. Media cards are available with capacities ranging up to 2 gbs. (GB).
After your photographs are moved to you computer’s hard drive, do not forget to back up your pictures to another storage gizmo. As trustworthy as hard drives are, disasters do happen. A second internal drive, an external hard drive, a Zip disk, a CD or DVD is common back up devices. Internet sites are available to store back up images for a little fee.

Are Old Games Consoles Still Wanted By People
Lots of people are starting to play old retro games and these days if you have an old games console it is considered to be quite cool. Even though many of us couldn’t wait to move from our old game consoles to more modern versions there is still a lot of enjoyment to be had when we return to them. If you are lucky you won’t have given yours away or binned them when you got something new; hopefully they are buried away in your attic or some other storage space.
Playing a game that I played from years ago is like listening to a favourite old song; in fact it is a lot more than this. I spent hours on end playing some of these games back in the day and it would take weeks or months for me to beat the game. Going back and playing them again is like returning home; the memories come flooding back and it is such a great feeling. A song can remind us of the past but playing these games again is like going back in time; you really get to experience them all over again. I have games that I played more than twenty five years ago and playing them again really turns back the clock. Those people who made the rash decision to get rid of their old game consoles now have to pay a fortune to buy replacements. This really is the time for the retro game.
I would really recommend playing one of these old games consoles again if you can. It is really surprising how many memories you are going to dredge up just by playing a particular game that you played years ago. I noticed while playing that strategy that I had forgotten all about came flooding back; maybe it is like riding a bicycle and you never really forget. These games have been very much part of my life and spending time with them is like visiting old friends.
