In this interview excerpt, The Money Relationship Mentor, Helen Kim and Jupiter Midas Effect 2 host Lissa Boles debate relationships, cash and what both have to do with business.

Lissa Boles: I'm of the opinion that you were on Hay House Radio for a while talking about conscious wealth and you've done plenty of work with a range of people, both in groups and direct personal customer work. When you engage with folk, what percentage of them essentially know that they've got a relationship with money and it's influenced or coloured by the basis of their relationship with themselves, you know normally do they even know?

Helen Kim: No, it’s engaging. That’s a really great question. And it is usually like, “What?” “No, you didn't know?” But that is how I started. I assumed I didn't actually know and I presumed this truly must be investigated further because my sort of fiscal awakening was when I wrote down my salary history and just saw that I've been making the same quantity money for 10 years even though I had moved on in terms of responsibility and jobs.

So I knew there was something deeper at work. I just did not know. I had no clue the simplest way to figure out the solution, so I was fortunate to find somebody who trained, what are referred to as financial counselors, that's how I have been trained, as a money recovery counselor. So , it’s quite deep work. I mean I actually think that money, looking at your relationship to cash is a way in and perhaps after the 1st one or two sentences in a discussion about your relationship to cash, the word “money” drops by the way side.

Lissa Boles: Right. Right. When you have worked with people or had conversation with folks who made contact with you thru the radio show, how many of them actually were coming from a place of love? Or you know love their money situation, you know just groove on their relationship with money? Now, I sort of think I know the solution to this but I’d really love to hear it because —

Helen Kim: Yes.

Lissa Boles: I'm betting there wasn't a good deal. Is that fair?

Helen Kim: Not a lot. That is accurate.

Lissa Boles: What was the prevailing sense of people?

Helen Kim: Scarcity and the roots of insufficiency is fear, but my faith is that fear is the right way for us to build our self confidence.

Lissa Boles: What do you mean by that?

Helen Kim: Therefore that’s where the gold is, right? I mean, otherwise, you were referring earlier, I believed “Oh my gosh! I should tell Lissa my term for what you were describing earlier as a fiscal shadows.” We create these shadows. Carl Jung Shadow Work on you know very well. So that is the terribly place we need to go. Here's where the work is. All of the parts of ourselves that we don't want to admit, we do not really want to show, we fear folk won't love us. You know all of that stuff that we push under the rug. That is as an example — you know that may manifest in what we all know as keeping right up with the Joneses, right?

That full idea of looking right, left. What have they got, what does she have, I need that, I need that so I'll prove that I am deserving however it truly results from not feeling like you're not enough. And so that whole question of what's enough really is the crux of that situation.

Lissa Boles: Oh, can you see me being exceedingly satisfied you have just announced that. Because I just set down the word “prove” and what's enough because inside this effect — and I heard Andrea Lee say this phrase out of the blue at the last Wealthy Thought Leader meeting. When you concentrate on made thought leadership, the last thing you consider is what's enough but she asked that question because what’s starting to bubble up in the consciousness of everybody and that's what’s this Jupiter Midas effect speaks of, is this beginning on all our parts to recognize that pursuit of wealth has been tinged by, coloured by, influenced by, and a little drunk — and I use the word noxious intentionally — by shadow and the need to prove something.

To have or appear to have what we think will cause us to appear productive ok, valuable. Can we talk about that? Because when we're talking about the Jupiter Midas Effect, one of the things that Venus, who is working in with this effect and Jupiter, because that is the ‘god ‘ of expansion, ask together is, ‘What kind of expansion you actually up to, people? ‘ And the only real way to understand the answer to that question is by also asking what is enough to you?
