How One Can Use Blank Sheet Magnets As Custom Crafts

What is a blank sheet magnet? Alternately known as magnetic paper, is a thin sheet of magnet covered entirely with paper. The main property of this particular media is its propensity to stick to steel-made surfaces such as floors, walls, appliances, and tabletops. It is both available in rolls and plain bond with an 8.5″ x 11″ size to fit color inkjet printers. It can be fed to a printer because the material is thin and the other side is paper so custom designed images from the computer could be printed. A florist Upper Hutt who also knew much about Venetian masks and masquerade mask making provided the following information.

Why were created? The development of this material is inspired by the adoption of structural steel into the construction of office buildings. As modern skyscrapers rise, steel is the only building material that could sustain the requirement for strength. Thus, construction practically uses steel not only on structure foundation but also on floors, walls, as well as the ceiling. With a steel environment, the usual exit, entrance, and several other relevant signs could not be posted easily; therefore, the need for a magnetic-based material was established.

What are the practical applications of a blank sheet magnet? Uses of this material can be seen not only in offices but in homes as well. It is practically seen in all fronts such as lounges, private offices, airports, and train stations. Although its use is limited in appliances at homes, magnetic paper finds its way into refrigerator doors, printer panels, and even cabinet shutters.

Making simple post-it signs with is simple. After an image has been created or custom designed in the computer, just load the magnetic paper into the color inkjet printer and print. Then cut the printed material to a size based on the outline with the use of a cutter, a rotary cutter, a knife, or a scissor and you are done. If the sign is for a wall, just simply stick it on, the same way you stick a post-it sign on refrigerators at home. Remember, creativity is in all of us, color inkjet printers and magnetic papers are simply tools to make crafts that the imagination perceives.
