Butterfly Tattoos - Flights Of Fancy
Butterfly Tattoos are symbols of such a lot of things for so many of us. They are definitely the most popular tattoos for women, quickly followed by stars or fairies.
One of the beauties of Butterfly Tattoos is that they are stunningly flexible, you can position them pretty much anywhere. As a body tattoo they cause less issues than bigger designs and can be twisted, spun or flipped to fit into even the weirdestof spots. You can enlarge or reduce the original art work with minimal impact on it’s integrity as a design. You can even design a flight of butterflies of differing patterns.
Very small designs could lose some of their detail or they would just appear as a smudged mess but with a larger version your Tattoo Artist can properly go to the max and create a complicated, detailed piece using a wide ranging colour palette that suits your skin colour and any other tattoos that you may have.
Choosing the palette is almost always a good place to begin for something as colour dependent as a Butterfly tattoo. Softer shades are the general choice but a solid tribal style makes a real statement too. These have a tendency to be the choice of most blokes who have Butterfly tattoos.
If your decide you are going to have a little tattoo, possibly on the ankle or the wrist then it is best to go for two or three colours at most. Celtic tribal tattoo style with it’s flowing lines tends to look good here. Something a little bigger on arms, legs or even as a major body tattoo gives more scope. Never get tempted to try for too many colours as that may downplay the design. If you look at a live butterfly there are plenty of subtle shades but not so many different base colors - and Mother Nature got it just about right there. There are very few things more beautiful.
As usual your best guide is your Tattoo Artist, let their experience and judgement lead you. If you don’t trust these then go to a different artist. Never let somebody you don’t trust completely tattoo you - ever!
Body Tattoos are favored by Butterfly Tattoos being probably one of the most commonly used. Tattooed World is devoted to the culture and hsitory of tattoos, educating and informing about Body Tattoos of all sorts and ensuring that you are tattooed safely as well as articistically.
