Important Things To Remember
To this artist it is a dog that guards the land that is located between life and death. In order to know more about what the shadow dogs really mean this artist looked at many black and white paintings and even monotypes that were at a local restaurant. The country now has seen much of this artist who also has a fine arts degree from a university in New Mexico. For her work in fabrics, photography and printmaking she has gained many awards. More expert paintings information is located at puppy portraits.
Currently this artist likes working with frogs. With the medium of steel she was able to make her work reach about 10 feet. The name she bestowed on her creation was a young girl’s fascination with frogs.
In her thesis, she explored non rational states of consciousness. There are definite links to certain shamanistic beliefs in my work especially that of the ability of a human and an animal to collaborate by combining forms, she said. The inclusion of the olden survival tactics is really important for the continuation of our existence. Also she mentioned how we have entered that time when we need to work together with other creatures.
Looking at the monoprints she has with dogs it is clear that collaboration is there. Busy with volunteer work in a local humane society and getting photographs for the local news is what she does. The stray dogs that need homes she has given about four of them. Thank you for reading about pet portraits and paintings.
Where you can see her dogs are those monoprints she creates. She says that it forces one to work faster and to do it all at once. All it really is learning how to work twice as hard like putting ink on and then taking it off. This can take a lot out of a person physically.
Making out an image might be possible but really it is still a mystery. She tries to capture the honest emotion in her portraits of dogs.
Her work never fails to capture a moment in a dog’s life that is either humorous or absurd. Her dogs are shown yawning, sleeping in the grass, portrayed with their heads lost in a culvert or a can of kibble.
Titles are really important, the artist said. One need not know more about the story in order laugh about it. At times she accepts commissions from individual owners to do dog portraits. She and her husband collaborate on their own business of doing portraits.
