Complex Things Dealing With Lions
Beautiful lion prowling the day
Princely, forlorn
finding her prey
pouncing and crouching
teak forest stream
meandering along
by way of Gir forest green
Maldhari child
sheds tears in fear,
Just recently here in Colorado Springs there have been numerous mountain lion sightings along with a few attacks. The target-someones’ pet dog in their back yard.
Indian Gujarat lions
suddenly appear
hunting for cattle,
Maldhari land
love, hope, danger,
India’s commanding voice
African sunset,
sunburnt, dusty haze
outlines of acacia trees,
grazing antelopes leaping,
grasses are swaying
in warm breezes

Mountain lion attacks this time of year are fairly unusual. They usually are driven to lower elevations to uncover water and food when it truly is dry-not from the middle of winter.

Italian card games
Irish neighborhoods of 100 years
Could transform, metamorphose, becoming what it is,
An America-Calcuttan Gujaratan Mecca
Of spices, throbbing footsteps including a myriad tongues,
Mahatma Gandhi Boulevard
The gentle hill
Of Newark Avenue.
Jersey City, NJ
So graceful in their peaceful world
as violets, aquas and reds unfurl
to bloom with lovely, uncomplicated grace,
a symphony of color is traced;
Reflecting the sun of futures bright,
gently whispers that things are right,
of peaceful days that by no means will end
to let you know God is your friend.
