Why Should I Hire A Private Party Band?
Imagine a scenario. You are at a party, and only a few people are dancing. The music is generic pop music that is being played just about everywhere right now. The people who are dancing are doing so rather awkwardly, as the music wasn’t really meant for dancing to. Other people are just sitting around and doing nothing or chatting dully. No one is that excited about the music, as it is what they have been hearing everywhere else. It is generic - it is not private party band.
Flash to another scenario: you are dancing, smiling, and feel full of energy. The music behind you is vibrant, loud, and real. Real voices are coming out of microphones instead of synthesized beats, and real instruments are playing only about twenty feet away. You are enjoying the rhythm and sound of a live wedding band, in an intimate setting.
A private party band can be fun for many functions, including birthday parties, bar/bat mitzvahs, and weddings. They are full of energy, so they may just energize the guests as well. Live music comes from people who live for the music, who love what they do, and people can enjoy feeling the love and excitement emanating from the band members. Live dance music can just be more fun than recorded music.
While lots of people like pop songs, sometimes they just get old. When you go to a bunch of parties and every single one plays the same songs, it may get irritating. However, with a band you can never have the same exact experience at different parties. Even if they play the same exact songs that a DJ would have played, they give it their own special touch. Thus even if you hear the same exact song at two different parties, if one party features a band the song will not REALLY be the same.
Live bands may either be original or they may play other people’s music. Some do both. But when it is your wedding or party you can choose exactly what type of music you want - be it pop or swing. If you have a band rather than a DJ, you can have more control over the type of music played at your party. For instance, if you hire a swing band for dancing, no one will be able to request that new pop dance hit.
Live bands are, by definition, made up of live people, so they can interact with the audience. Some bands encourage audience members to participate, and can joke around with them. DJs can possibly do this, but generally they tend to stay off on the sidelines.
It is also good to choose a band because it is a group rather than one person that you are supporting. Some bands have a dream of gaining popularity all over the world, and by hiring them you can fuel that dream.
Private bands are great for all of these reasons. They can be costly at times, and they are not perfect for every single party. However, if the setting is right they can give your energy much more party, and improve the experience of the party guests. They can also make your party more unique and memorable.
