Chopper tattoo is something I’d seen over and over in my research which I was doing before making a decision on getting a tattoo. Tattoos are a very personal expression of what’s going on inside so I wanted to get it just right.

Because of this long-lasting and permanent mark it’s a commitment.  You could argue a tattoo is the most expensive form of self expression despite the fact it’s a relatively low financial cost.Your outward actions are showing the intense emotions you are feeling on the inside.

Which is very cool but you have to get it right or you send the wrong message, maybe get embarrassed, and worst of all have paid for something permanent which isn’t what you want and you feel like you got cheated.

One of my biggest problems was verbally describing the feelings, emotions, and actual picture to my local tattoo artist.

I know some people talk about putting body art on more fun places on the body but just starting out small, simple, tried and true was the way to go for me. And having an image to start with even if it’s just a talking point is way easier to get your message across to your chosen tattoo artist going a long way to insuring you get the exact tattoo you want. If I really require it, I can make the picture a beginning point and then from there tell the local artist what exactly needs to change in order for it to end up on my body as planned.

Once again there was the recurring issue of trying to tell the tattoo artist what I was seeing in my head so he could skillfully put it on my arm.

Whenever I am struggling with something, all I have to do is grab a computer, go online, and start looking at websites and blogs. These give me answers all the time.

It is useful to get other people’s opinions so you can use what has worked for other people when they have been trying to tell the tattoo artist what to draw. Here is an idea, see if it will work for you.

You can start here. The solution gives rise to hundreds of imagination, designs and drawings. You can ask the local tattooist to copy down or use it as a starting point.  You may describe the modifications and the work will be satisfactory.

Now I can feel proud when going to biker rallies with my chopper tattoo because I feel like I’m one of the clan.
