Celine Dion One Heart Pop Music CD Review
Author: Clyde Lee Dennis
The super talented Pop artist Celine Dion has released her most recent CD on the Epic recording label, entitled One Heart.
One Heart launches with a great track, I Drove All Night, that I anticipate will be heard on radio stations everywhere, and deservedly so. It's a really nice track.
One Heart is a nicely varied, mix of 14 tracks that are very well written songs by this clearly superb artist. Most of the songs display a lot of the kind emotion that makes for a really great listen. Clearly drawing from what I can only imagine are her own real life experiences. At different points touching on the most real emotions like love, and the pain of failed relationships can certainly be heard.
Listen to One Heart and I believe you'll find there’s not much to dis-like about it. The songs are inspired, the production is simply outstanding, and Celine Dion is clearly in top form. So much so that if you’re even mildly into Pop music you'll enjoy this album.
While this entire album is outstanding some of my favorites are track 2 - Love Is All We Need, track 9 - Have You Ever Been In Love, and track 14 - Je T’aime Encore
My Bonus Pick, and the one that got Sore [...as in “Stuck On REpeat”] is track 1 - I Drove All Night. Wow!

Alanis Morissette Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie Pop Music CD Review
Author: Clyde Lee Dennis
Not sure what’s happening with me on this one, but it seems like the more I listen to it, the better Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie gets. Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie put simply is one of Alanis Morissette’s best CDs to date.
I wish it weren't the case but, it’s not everyday that I get a CD from an artist that I can just pop in and comfortably listen to from beginning to end. There is usually a song or two that I just can’t force myself to get through. Not at all the case with Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie. Every track is enjoyable and was pretty easy for me to listen to from start to finish.
The nice thing about a CD like this is when the talent is this rich even if Pop isn't your favorite style you still can’t help but appreciate the greatness of the artist.
If you’re even mildly into Pop music you’ll enjoy this album. Overall Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie is an outstanding release. I give it my double thumbs up. You will not be disappointed with one single track.
While this entire album is outstanding the truly standout tunes are track 6 - That I Would Be Good, track 12 - Would Not Come, and track 17 - Your Congratulations.

No wonder the influence of 20th century guitar gods has sank in into the mindset of the generation of rock and roll way beyond the boundaries of music. Lots of bands and solo artists today have been inspired to be at par with their very own guitar hero with all their might. Most certainly amongst them, here are six guitar gods that challenge the determination of both professional and amateur guitarists to play good music for others to enjoy.
Sixth: Eddie Van Halen
Eddie Van Halen is the lead guitarist of the rock band named after him known as Van Halen. This guitar hero popularized the used of tapping in playing guitar. This is technique is done by literally tapping both left and right hands on the guitar neck. Although this technique has been done by blues guitarists before him, Van Halen was the one who made the technique iconic. During his guitar solos, Eddie Van Halen usually played with his back to the audience to hide his tapping technique.
Fifth: Dimebag Darrell
The world of heavy metal has just lost a guitar hero on December 8, 2004 when Pantera and Damageplan’s lead guitarist Dimebag Darrell was shot dead by a schizophrenic gunman while on stage with Damageplan. Dimebag is best known with his rapport with fans and was tagged as “one of the most influential stylists in modern metal.†Guitar magazines never fail to include Dimebag whenever they list top 10 metal guitarists. Besides being well-known in the metal scene, Dimebag used to perform with a country music band Rebel Meets Rebel.
Fourth: Kirk Hammett
Metallica’s lead guitarist and songwriter, Kirk Hammett is on our fourth spot but for Rolling Stones magazine, he is ranked 11th in their list of “The 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time.†Hammett had private lessons with another guitar virtuoso Joe Satriani and in 2002, became the first to receive the Guitar World magazine’s Hall of Fame award.
Third: The Great Kat
Katherine Thomas, more popularly known as The Great Kat is a Julliard-schooled guitarist and violinist famous for her thrash metal renditions of well-known classical pieces — from Beethoven to Mozart. She was listed in Guitar One magazine as one of the “Ten Fastest Shredder of All Time.â€
Second: John Petrucci
John Petrucci is the founding member, co-producer and lyricist of the progressive metal band Dream Theater. He performs with Joe Satriani and Steve Vai in the G3 Tour. Noted as one of the world’s finest guitar players, Petrucci is well-known for his fast alternate picking that requires a lot of synchronization with both left and right hands.
First: Jimi Hendrix
Arguably the best and the most influential guitar player in the whole of rock music is Jimi Hendrix. His appearance in the iconic Woodstock Festival in 1969 can be considered as the greatest gig in the history of rock Hendrix style in creating music with electric distortions and effect was unique in his time that it became the turning point of newly evolved rock genres. His tragic death became rather controversial and is placed side by side with three other 60s rock icons: Janet Joplin and Jim Morrison.
These deities of guitar may have not been the virtuoso that they are overnight. But surely a guitar hero has had his humble beginnings. Get your first steps Free Guitar Lesson Guide at http://freeguitarguide.googlepages.com/
They might lead you to guitar stardom!

Buying a Drum Kit for the Aspiring Drummer in Your Family
Author: William McRea
When it comes to the beginning drummer, there are a few things to keep in mind when selecting a drum kit. Yes, drums are noisy and can take up a lot of space in a room. But they are also a rewarding instrument to learn how to play.
There are so many choices when considering which drum kit to purchase for the aspiring drummer in your family. This includes cost, versatility, quality, and whether or not you want an electric kit or acoustic kit.
Here is some advice that will help you purchase a drum kit for the aspiring drummer in your family.
Price Considerations
On the one hand, you can purchase a drum kit solely because of its cost. There are some pretty decent and really inexpensive drum kits out there that will definitely serve the purposes of a beginning drummer. The low cost is nice because if they do not stick it out, you did not lose as much money as you would have if you purchased a more expensive drum it.
Quality Considerations
On the other hand, if you purchase an inexpensive drum kit and they become serious about the instrument, then they will need a new drum kit. For an intermediate or advanced player, the beginners kits just wont cut it.
For one thing, quality kits sound better, they are more durable, and many come with a lot more accessories that are tailored to the genre of music you play. For example, if you are primarily a drummer for Latin music then your kit will look a lot different than a rock drummer.
This is a great thing to consider if your aspiring drummer has already taken a few lessons, is a drummer in the school band, or you can sense they will stick with it. If none of these are true, consider purchasing a less expensive kit.
Meeting Half Way
Of course, there are plenty of drum kits out there that serve a good compromise between the two. If you want something that is not too expensive and still sounds good, there is plenty of middle of the road drum kits that will serve the purpose. This is a good idea because it wont dent the pocket too badly if they do not stick with it and it will last a lot longer than an inexpensive kit because they are not just for beginners. Overall, when purchasing the drum kit for the aspiring drummer, there a lot of factors to consider and if you do not make the right choice, you can always return it.
